Our community
We need the participation of different agents of the tourism ecosystem for the tourism experience to take place.
We understand by “tourism ecosystem” the sum of the physical environment that receives tourism and the resources on which the products are based, the different types of actors involved in the provision of tourism services that make up the products, the entities responsible for managing the resources and those competent in their planning and management, as well as the administrations involved in supporting the creation and promotion of tourism, and finally, the alliances that are established between all of them, all to generate a tourist destination based on quality such as ours. For this reason, we have been working for some time now with various local entities and SMEs to make Torrenueva a reference point, always committed to the wellbeing of the locality.
Torrenueva Costa has a privileged physical environment, nestled at the foot of the Natural and National Park of Sierra Nevada on the Tropical Coast of Granada, with an enviable coastline where beaches with the Q for quality, coves and cliffs coexist harmoniously. Our town is also only a few kilometres away from a ZEC in the town of Calahonda. For the moment, no study has been carried out in our area to include it in the Natura 2000 Network or to classify it as a protected natural area. But after the tourism roundtables that are intended to be held to evaluate and take joint decisions, these and other issues can be assessed. We believe that it is essential to include the relationship with the local population, who must be an active part of the project from the beginning. The distribution of the resources obtained must also be taken into account at this point.
